20 killed in US-Saudi strikes on Popular Mobilization Forces sites in Iraq

In a statement, the PMF said the strikes resulted in 'the martyrdom of a number of martyrs and the injury of others,' in addition to material damage to buildings and property. The US Central Command announced the strikes in coordination with the Saudi armed forces, saying they targeted 'Iran-backed terrorists' accused of launching drone attacks on US forces and Saudi energy facilities. The Central Command said the operation followed more than 30 drone attacks within 72 hours. Saudi Arabia announced that its strikes were in response to attacks targeting oil facilities in the eastern region. Iran denied any involvement in the attacks. Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi announced an investigation into the drone attacks, affirming that Baghdad would not allow its territory to be used as a launchpad for attacks on neighboring countries.
