Police announced this morning (Monday) that the Central Unit of the Northern District has solved the murder of Yasser Abu al-Hija (34), a barbershop owner in Tamra, who was shot dead last month. According to the investigation materials, two suspects planned to murder their family member who came to the barbershop for a haircut, against the backdrop of a family dispute. One of them, a 17-year-old youth, carried out the shooting at his uncle and the barber, and also accidentally hit the barber, who later died of his wounds. The uncle was seriously wounded. Another youth, aged 19, is suspected of conducting preliminary surveillance and aiding in the escape. An indictment is expected against the two in the coming days, with the shooter to be charged with murder and attempted murder. The suspect's father was released due to lack of evidence. The footage released by the police shows the killer arriving at the barbershop on an electric bicycle and shooting. Investigators located the bicycle, helmet, and clothes that were hidden in a container. Northern District Commander, Superintendent Meir Eliyahu, emphasized the police's commitment to solving murder cases.
