A Gilboa Index investigation found that a family pool outing on a weekend has become a significant expense. At the Ramat Rachel country club, a family of a couple and three children will pay 660 shekels for entry, and at the Givatayim country club the price stands at 600 shekels. Presenter Niv Gilboa angrily wondered how a family is required to spend such sums to go splash in the water, and noted that on weekends prices tend to be higher. In contrast, cheaper options were also found: the Elitzur pool in Netanya charges 300 shekels for five people, and the Goldfish pool in Ramat Gan costs 255 shekels. The municipal pool in Rishon LeZion is the cheapest in the survey, with a price of 195 shekels per family, 45 shekels per adult, and 35 shekels per child. The survey highlights the cost of living and the gaps in the prices of public leisure activities.
